Windows server enable javascript
Hi all, Hope doing well, sir i am using windows server 2008 R2 enterprise operating system. i am running my web application in localhost. it’s working fine. but i have used timer using javascript and some javascript function that is not working in this application. i googled many thing and i got one solution that is http://njbblog.blogspot.in/2010/02/issue-windows-server-2008-javascript.html i went through this link and i have done the solution but in my another system has the same configuration and same thing i am doing there but it’s not enabled javascript and my application is not working. plz help me. it’s urgent waiting for reply. thanks in advance. vicky Bangalore

hi sir, after running this command i got this message. verification 100% complete. windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations. vicky Bangalore

Hi Vicky, Please make sure that the Javascript is enabled on you IE. To do this, please go to Control Panel -> Internet Options , click on security tab, click on customer level button. Please scroll down to Scripting , under Scripting of Java applets , click enable. OR Please try to start the Internet Explorer with option «Run as Administrator» to see whether it works. Regards,

For your reference, to enable or disable JavaScript: 1.From the Tools menu, or the Tools drop-down in the upper right, choose Internet options.
2.Click the Security tab.
3.Click Custom Level. .
4.Scroll to the «Scripting» section of the list. For «Active Scripting» and «Scripting of Java applets» click Disable or Enable.
5.Click OK, and confirm if prompted.
6.Close and restart your browser.

sir it’s not a problem of internet explorer even in firefox java script is not working. so i am thinking that it is a problem of operating system. vicky Bangalore
Vicky, This issue is most likely NOT related to operating system. As Cheers Zhang already indicated, please submit a new thread in IE forum. To be sure on OS part, run sfc /scannow from elevated cmd (run as Administrator ), if you do not see any problems that confirms your OS is intact.

How to enable JavaScript in Windows
Many Internet Web sites contain JavaScript, a scripting programming language that runs on the web browser to make specific features on the web page functional. If JavaScript has been disabled within your browser, the content or the functionality of the web page can be limited or unavailable. This article describes the steps for enabling JavaScript in web browsers.

Internet Explorer
To allow all websites within the Internet zone to run scripts within Internet Explorer:
- On the web browser menu, click Tools or the «Tools» icon (which looks like a gear), and select Internet Options.
- When the «Internet Options» window opens, select the Security tab.
- On the «Security» tab, make sure the Internet zone is selected, and then click on the «Custom level. » button.
- In the Security Settings – Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
- When the «Warning!» window opens and asks, «Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?» select Yes.
- Click OK at the bottom of the Internet Options window to close the dialog.
- Click the Refresh button to refresh the page and run scripts.
To allow scripting on a specific website, while leaving scripting disabled in the Internet zone, add the specific Web site to the Trusted sites zone:
- On the web browser menu, click Tools, or the «Tools» icon (which looks like a gear) and select Internet Options.
- When the «Internet Options» window opens, select the Security tab.
- On the «Security» tab, select the Trusted sites zone and then click the Sites button.
- For the website(s) you would like to allow scripting, enter the address within the Add this website to the zone text box and click Add. Note: If the address does not begin with «https:», you many need to uncheck «Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone».
- Click Close and then click OK at the bottom of the Internet Options window to close the dialog.
- Click the Refresh button to refresh the page and run scripts.

To enable JavaScript in Google Chrome, please review and follow the instructions provided at Enable JavaScript in your browser to see ads on your site.
Mozilla Corporation’s Firefox
To enable JavaScript in Firefox, please review and follow the instructions provided at JavaScript settings for interactive web pages.
