Netbeans нет java web

Can’t find Web Application project in Netbeans

When I start a netbeans project, there is no categories «Java Web». Which is for make «Web Application» project. How can I add «java web» plugin or something in netbeans to see the java web categories in categories list in netbeans. please someone help me.

1. Go to the Tools menu and select Plugins. Then click on the «Available Plugins» tab.
2. Check the box for «Java Web Applications».
3. Click the «Install» button.
4. Click your way through the dialogs until the plugin and its dependencies are installed.
5. Restart the IDE.

You should now find «Java Web» in File -> New Project.

For anyone else that has this issue I’ve figured out how to fix it (when you find find the files for your webproject in htdocs).

Click on File -> New Project Then click on Php Application from Existing Sources. Then click on the files you have in your htdocs folder and it should show back up. (Note you might have to double check the port numbers when you set it back up).

NetBeans 6.8: «Java Web» not an option

I’m following this tutorial to set up an existing set of files for a web application, run on Tomcat6, packaged through NetBeans on Ubuntu 10: http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/quickstart-webapps.html#setting And I’m stopped at the first step because it says to create a new project, and under categories select Java Web. This isn’t a category available to me. What do I need to do to get started with a web application?

You have to make sure that you have the right plugins installed.

Click on Tools>Plugins. Under Available Plugins look for Java Web and EE and install them.

Alternatively, when you download Netbeans you have the option to choose the appropriate package for yourself. You can select the package that includes Java Web and EE. It comes with Tomcat 6 and GlassFish server.

If you have NetBeans 8.2 or greater installed so you must choose Oracle Cloud from Avaible plugins , it was my case so it may be yours too 😉

Java Web option is not available in NetBeans 7.0.1

I have installed NetBeans 7.0.1 from the Ubuntu Software Center, but when I go to create a project then the Java Web option is not displayed in the popup. Please give me an idea for how to solve this problem.

I also tried to install NetBeans IDE 7.0.1 in Ubuntu 14.04 with OpenJDK Development Kit 7 and had the same problem as you have. I searched for a solution and found a Launchpad bug report: Bug #1360100: NetBeans IDE cannot create a project, so I gave up and installed IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition from the Ubuntu Software Center instead. IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition is a free (it doesn’t cost any money) and open source version of IntelliJ IDEA, a premier IDE for Java, Groovy, Scala and Android applications development.

Eclipse has most of the functionality of NetBeans in one form or another. Or you can download the Oracle Java 8 SE bundle of NetBeans IDE from the Oracle website, which contains both Java 8 and NetBeans 8. The instructions for installing the Java 8 SE and NetBeans Cobundle are at this link.

NetBeans has been dropped from the default Ubuntu repositories in Ubuntu 15.04, so you need to download NetBeans in order to install it in Ubuntu 15.04. In Ubuntu 15.10 and later NetBeans 8.0 can be installed directly from the default Ubuntu repositories. NetBeans 8 targets Java 8 as its compatible Java version. In Ubuntu 18.04-20.10 NetBeans 10.0 can be installed directly from the default Ubuntu repositories. In Ubuntu 21.04-22.04 NetBeans 12.0 can be installed directly from the default Ubuntu repositories.

How to create Web Application in Apache Netbeans 10?

Just I’ve downloaded Netbeans 10. While creating new project, I’m not getting option ‘Web Application’. How to do it? Is there GUI design builder for web applications in Apache Netbeans 10?

Unlike some earlier NetBeans releases such as 8.2, Apache NetBeans 10.0 does not support web development by default, and that is why you do not see an option for Java Web under the Categories listed within the Project Wizard. However, web development can still be performed using Apache NetBeans 10.0. You just need to install some plugins first:

• Go to Tools > Plugins and select the Available Plugins tab.
• Ensure that the entries are sorted in ascending Category order. Click the Category column header to do that if necessary.
• Scroll down and locate the entries for the Category named Java Web and EE.
• Under the Install column check all of those entries:
• Click the Install button to install those checked Java Web and EE plugins.
• Follow the instruction for the Installer wizard. The requested plugins will be downloaded and installed, and you will be invited to click Finish to restart NetBeans.
• After the restart select File > New Project. . There should be new entries in the Categories list named Java Web and Java EE, allowing you to create web and EE applications:

• If there are no entries for Java Web and EE on the Available Plugins tab then update your question with a screen shot of Tools > Plugins > Settings.
• If the plugins appear to install correctly but Java Web and Java EE are still not available under the Project Wizard after a restart then update your question with:
  • A screen shot of Tools > Plugins > Installed, with the User Installed Plugins entry selected.
  • The recent content of the NetBeans log (View > IDE Log).
