Java to bedrock map converter

Easy Ways: How to Convert Minecraft Java Worlds to Bedrock Edition Using Je2Be and MCC Tool Chest PE

This tutorial will discuss a tutorial for converting Minecraft Java maps to Minecraft Bedrock for free and very easily, simply, and clearly.

There are lots of good java worlds but not available for Minecraft Bedrock, for example Minecraft Jurassic World, but don’t worry, because you can convert Java World to Bedrock World easily.

The first software that I will discuss is Je2Be which is available on the Microsoft Store, this software is highly recommended because it is considered safe and easy to use.

Feb 18 2022 — There is an alternative software, namely Amulet Editor, but I have never tried it, if Je2Be doesn’t work, then please try Amulet Editor.

— Jan 13 2022 — I highly recommend using Je2Be if you want to convert latest Java maps to Bedrock, but if you need an alternative, then you can try Amulet and MCC Tool Chest PE (So far it’s still working well, contact us via social media if you have any questions)

How to Convert Java World to Bedrock Edition using Je2Be

1. Download the software at the Microsoft Store (Click to Download)

2. Run the Application

3. Select which Java world you want to convert, then click next

4. If a display like this appears, click start and wait for the loading process to finish (depending on the size of the world)

5. After the conversion is done, you can choose where to export, I recommend exporting as .mcworld

6. You can use .mcworld on Bedrock Windows 10, Smartphone, etc.

7. How to use it is very easy, make sure you have Minecraft Bedrock on your device, after that click open the .mcworld file and it will automatically import World.

How to Convert Java World to Bedrock Edition using MCC Tool Chest PE (Not Recommended, unless your Minecraft Java version is 1.12.2)

1. Download from the official website (Click to Download)

2. Run the Application

3. Click file, then click new

4. Click tools, then click convert, then click to Bedrock

5. Select the world java edition you want to convert

6. Here you can customize the part you want to convert, if you are finished click convert

7. Wait for loading to finish, the process takes time depending on the size of the java world

8. After it finishes, click the save button

9. You can close the software when it’s done

10. To check the conversion results, you can go to this folder
C:\Users\YOUR PC \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

The disadvantage of converting using MCC Tool Chest PE is that it is more complicated and cannot be directly exported to .mcworld files, but the advantage is that you can customize more, such as dimensions, gamerules, level.dat, and many others, making it more suitable for Bedrock Developers, even with MCC Tool Chest PE you can convert world Bedrock Edition to Java Edition.

UPDATE: Looks like MCCToolchest is no longer being developed, so it doesn’t support the latest version of Minecraft, please use Je2Be

Convert Maps of Java Edition to Bedrock Edition asynchronously with ease!

Blocks and sign texts (json formatted) will be converted for bedrock edition. Conversion will be started when the chunks are loaded. You don’t need to type command. Just move in the server 😀

This plugin will convert your worlds immediately after you joined, so make sure that this plugin is disabled when publishing your server

Put your map of java edition to your world folder. Open your server with this plugin, and join your server. You will see the converted blocks and signs.

enable-async-mode — If you set to true, blocks conversion will be run asynchronously to reduce lag

enable-output-progress — If you set to true, the progress of conversion will be printed to console.

Converting Java and Bedrock Worlds

Looking to convert your world from one version of Minecraft to another? This guide will go through how to use Chunker to convert your worlds.

Note About the World Conversion Process

While it is possible to convert your world from Java to Bedrock and from Bedrock to Java, it is not a perfect conversion. There are differences in how the game is coded on both platforms such as Java Edition having NBT data whereas Bedrock does not, Redstone working differently in the two versions, etc. With all of that in mind, be sure to create a backup of your world prior to starting this process.

  3. Upload the world folder or zip file to Chunker.
  4. Click ‘Start Upload’.
  5. Choose a version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition to export the world to.
  6. Click ‘Convert & Download’.
  7. Click ‘Download’ to download the world to your computer.
  8. If you are uploading this to a dedicated server, you’ll need to extract the .mcworld file prior to uploading. For further instructions regarding adding the world to your server, check out our article onUploading an existing world to your Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server.

BlocksConverter is a PocketMine-MP plugin that allows you to translate blocks from MC: Java Edition to Bedrock or vice-versa.

Supported world conversion

This plugin could take some time when converting worlds. While the conversion, don’t try to stop or turn off the server until it’s finished.

Allows to convert a single world or a queue of world to the platform destination (bedrock or java).

Syntax: /convert [backup=true|false] [platform=bedrock|java] [force=true|false]

Permission: blocksconverter.command.convert

Command parameters:

  • : it’s a mandatory parameter, it requires the name of world to be converted or «queue» to convert a list of worlds. (See /convertqueue for more information)
  • [backup=true|false]: it’s an optional parameter, when the value is «true» it creates a backup of your world before the conversion otherwise not. (Default «true»)
  • [platform=bedrock|java]: it’s an optional parameter, when the value is «bedrock» it converts the world from java to bedrock, when «java» it converts from bedrock to java. (Default «bedrock»)
  • [force=true|false]: it’s an optional parameter, when the value is «true» you will force the conversion to run (at your own risk!) otherwise not. (Default «false»)

Allows managing worlds to be converted. It’s useful when you need to convert more than one world.

Syntax: /convertqueue [world_name|all]

Permission: blocksconverter.command.convertqueue

Command alias: /cq

  • add: It adds one or all worlds in queue before the conversion.
  • remove: It removes one or all worlds from the queue.
  • status: It shows the status of current queue.
