Today plc247.com will continue to guide you to use the Delta PLC to control the stepper motor using Driver DM542, this is a very popular driver used all over the world because of its extremely cheap price but good quality.

Note: Most Step Controllers can only control = 5V signal. With DM542 Driver we can control from 5 > 24 V
+ R= 2K2Ω: Reduce voltage from 24VDC to 5VDC

In the current 4.0 technology era, temperature management of the factory is a must for every company. DVP14SS2 and Autonics TK4S are PLC and Temperature Controller duo with good price but excellent quality.
And today I would like to guide you to use PLC Delta DVP 14SS2 to control as well as read temperature from TK4S using Modbus RTU communication standard.

+ To set up communication for TK4S we need to go to Parameters 4 (PAr.4)
Setting Temperature Register Address
>>> Address = 0000 (hexa) / Func: 06
Temperature Monitoring Register Address
>>> Address = 3E8 (hexa) / Func: 04

Choose to auto-configure the communication parameters as shown below
After selecting the communication parameters, the software will automatically create the following program (You can also programming the same program manually)

DVP 14SS2 “Modbus RTU” DELTA MS300 VFD
Hello everyone. Today plc247.com will guide you to use PLC Delta 14SS2 to control DELTA MS300 inverter via Modbus-RTU RS485 communication standard.
The DVP-14SS2 PLC has built-in RS485 port, and most of Delta’s other PLCs are integrated. With the MS300 inverter, it supports many communication standards including Modbus-RTU .

In addition to the basic parameters of the inverter installed according to the motor, we need to set the following parameters so that the inverter can be controlled by Modbus-RTU:
- P00.20 = 1 (Frequency Control via RS485)
- P00.21 = 2 (Motor Control via RS485)
- P09.00 = 1 (Address Slave = 1)
- P09.01 = 9.6 (Baudrate = 9600bps)
- P09.02 = 0
- P09.03 = 1.0 (Time Com. Err)
- P09.04 = 14 (Modbus-RTU 8/E/1)
Control Register Address
+ Motor Control Address = 2000 (hexa)
- Set Word 2000 (hex) = 18 >>> Motor Forward Run
= 34 >>> Motor Reverse Run
= 1 >>> Motor Stop
+ Frequency Setting Address = 2001 (hexa)
Monitoring Register Address
- Output Frequency = 2103 (Hexa)
- Output Current = 2104 (Hexa)
- Output Voltage = 2106 (Hexa)
