[Tutorial XF2] How to make color username

1 . Code style same as ENXF NET Admin [Red With Sparkle] below.

2. Code Style Rainbow is same as upper code 1, all you just need to change the image url of effect and it will work.

Note : you can add more than 1 images for mixed effect.

About the color : Just edit color code as you want yellow, blue, white (in the text-shadow line you can see » #FF0000 » that is a Red color code) just find yours and replace it.

So this is a neat little addon that I’ve added to my site but I don’t seem to be able to get it to work for my registered members

I can get it to work for my admins with each admin picking a colour of their choice (I created 10 options) but when I set it for registered members they can select the ‘sparkle option’ but it doesn’t show on the forum anywhere.

I’ve tried setting display styling to 0 for both groups but I still can’t get it to work

I can get it to work if I set a colour in the groups but was looking for members to be able to select their own colours

XF 1.4 Username Styling

I am curious to see some possible examples of username Styling? The default way(even with different colors) just seems so boring and vanilla.

I’d love to be able to customize the username better for my site.

Example: I discovered how to make usernames Sparkle which was fairly cool but I grew bored with and then I discovered the Rainbow username which I liked but apparently isn’t compatible with all browsers.

Are there any other cool ways to style usernames?

What I’d love to be able to do is

Flashing USername(not sparkle)

Coming from IPB, I love the fact that the username actually flashed different colors. It would cycle through various colors like a rainbow(the XF way of doing rainbow keeps the name static, but the letters are various coolers which isn’t quite what I want). I want something that cycles the entire name through various colors.

But yeah any examples of cool tricks to do with usernames?

As long as the icon appears in the font file XF uses, then it’s fine.

If it’s not there, an error will be thrown such as:

Android Icon | Font Awesome

Android icon in the Solid style. Make a bold statement in small sizes.. Available now in Font Awesome 6.

It doesn’t render when use based on your guide.

That’s a brand icon, so you need to use the brands font, not the regular(pro) font.

For whatever reason this guide didn’t work for me. Has anything changed @Brogan? We’re using a custom Theme House design. Perhaps that’s why it didn’t work for me.

Same I’m using the default theme and it does not work for me either.

Edit the colors work just fine for me, its the portion where you add the FontAwesome icons that does not seem to work.

Here is my CSS code for the FA icon:

Доброго всем. Имеется форум XenForo 1.2.4. Мне нужно (предоставила скрин для наглядности):

1. Сделать ник цветным

2. Изменить цвет надписи «Модератор»

3. Изменить цвет надписи «Команда форума»

Если есть знающие, подскажите пошаговую инструкцию, т.к. в форумах я не особо разбираюсь.

Всё дело в том, что я имею доступ только к Панели Управления. Там никак нельзя это настроить?

Ник сменить можно и через ПУ.
