Thymeleaf: «cannot find declaration to go to» error on Intelijj

I am making a project in which I am using Thymeleaf. IDE is IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition 2020.2 x64. Intellij cannot recognize Thyemeleaf and I get following message when I am hovering over th:each «Cannot find declaration to go to». In that file, I put following tag . This is my pom.xml:

IntelliJ IDEA, jbehave support plugin cannot find declaration to go to

My OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition 14.1

If you need any additional info, please mention which one.

1. you should be sure, that those steps have declaration to go to, because it’s possible to have steps without it.
2. you successfully build your project(all modules were downloaded and build successfully).
3. your project configured correctly and you added all module dependencies.

In my case it was 2nd option from the list. After that I can jump to step declaration.

2. specifying src folder as «Sources»:

if you find mentioned issue, Just go to the file —> setting —> language Framework —>grails—> .sdkman —> . grails 3.1.0 like —> ok

This is to do with your «Project Settings», assuming you are using Mac, try the following:

• «cmd + ;» or «File» => «Project Structure» to open «Project Settings»
• Check «Project Settings» => «Project» => «Project SDK»
• Check «Project Settings» => «Modules» => «Dependencies» => «Module SDK»
• Check «Platform Settings» => «SDKs»

All the SDKs settings can be found in «/usr/local/Cellar/. » if you use brew on a Mac.

Then rebuild the project, let IntelliJ does the indexing and restart IntelliJ couple times to make sure the changes have taken effect.

[Solution] IntelliJ: Cannot find declaration to go to, Nothing here, Java file outside of source root Errors

If you are trying to access a class and its member variables and methods in IntelliJ IDE for an external dependency (be it Maven or Gradle) you may see a tooltip saying «Cannot find declaration to go to» if the source of the class is not available.

If you hover over your class if you see «Java file outside of source root» and when you try to run the main method you would not be able to run the application with a message «Nothing here»

Open installed Plugins (press Shift key twice) and disable Gradle and restart IntelliJ, you will be prompted to enable Gradle, once dependencies and their source are downloaded and the build is complete, this error should be fixed.

@aolose have you solved this problem? I do that as you describe , just can not open my project as a normal flutter project.

• 1.close your project
• 2.delete .idea folder and *.iml files in root path
• 3.open your project

It’s not working for me. And the strange thing is other flutter projects are unaffected for now.

For people seeing this issue, I would:

• ensure that a flutter sdk is configured in the settings, Language & Frameworks > Flutter page
• try the File > Invalidate caches menu item

@Diaglyonok: does @devoncarew’s suggestion work for you?

No, this is not helps, I found only one solution — recreating the project, but after adding some dependency to pubspec.yaml it repeats again.

Seems that one of the following actions (or their combination) solves the problem:

1. having a good git ignore call git clean -xffd

2. switching flutter channel to any other and back.
   Commands example (if current channel is stable):
   flutter channel dev
   flutter pub get
   flutter channel stable

after any of these actions:
flutter pub get
flutter clean
flutter run .

Since this problem does not always appear, at the moment I cannot test these solutions again, if you have such a problem, try this solution and report the result, please.
