Description of the problem / feature request:

I have Python installed through Windows Store. Bazel fails to use it:

—define PYTHON_BIN_PATH=’C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\python.exe’ is not executable. Is it the python binary?

I can run python from command line: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps is in PATH . However, file size is zero (I am guessing it uses some form of redirection).

Feature requests: what underlying problem are you trying to solve with this feature?

Use standard Python 3.6 for Windows from Store.

What operating system are you running Bazel on?

What’s the output of bazel info release ?

If bazel info release returns «development version» or «(@non-git)», tell us how you built Bazel.

What’s the output of git remote get-url origin ; git rev-parse master ; git rev-parse HEAD ?

Have you found anything relevant by searching the web?

Почему при введении команды пишет Python?

Почему когда я пишу python get-pip.py то мне пишет Python

У вас есть питон, но нет pip. Ставить pip через pip, это классная рекурсия, но, увы, не сработает.
Надо скачать тот самый get-pip.py и правильно его запустить: https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/installation/

У вас не установлен Python. Вместо этого вы вызываете заглушку, которая с некоторых пор поставляется с Windows 10/11. Эта заглушка, когда вызывается без параметров, должна открывать вам страницу в Microsoft Store, с которой можно быстро поставить Python. Она сделана для новичков, чтобы им было проще поставить Python. Если у вас Стор удалён или как-то заблокирован (не удивлюсь, т.к. многие его почему-то боятся), то возможно поэтому у вас ничего не открывается.

Если вы поставите Python из Стора, то команда python автоматически отвяжется от этой заглушки и привяжется к реальному интерпретатору Питона. Если поставите иным способом, возможно нужно будет выключить эту заглушку вручную, чтобы ваши шеллы не находили её в PATH раньше настоящего Питона. Это быстро делается через Manage app execution aliases на странице Apps & Features.

Лично меня Питон из Магазина почти во всём устраивает (особенно если им правильно пользоваться и использовать виртуальные окружения), но народ любит подискутировать на эту тему, поэтому не буду навязывать вам свою точку зрения на этот счёт.

У меня аналогичная ситуация, но ничего не помогает. Ни полное удаление Python, ни установка Python из Store, ни попытка запуска, когда установлены оба Python. Никак.
При установке новой системы всё нормально работает, но со временем, видимо при установке обновлений Windows при попытке запуска любого приложения Python получается такой же результат, как и у ANYJT.
Станислав Макаров помогите пожалуйста разобраться с ситуацией. Надоело из-за этого ставить новую систему.
Из системных переменных тоже удалял ссылки на приложение.
Устанавливал скаченный пакет приложения .11.2 с оффсайта с простановкой галки о добавлении системной переменной, устанавливал из Microsoft Store, устанавливал через Choco (всегда так делал).

Fix Python command open Microsoft store in Windows 11/10

Recently one user reported that while running a python command using a Windows command prompt it launches Microsoft Store. Usually most of the users after installing python, they used to check the version of python using the command prompt, python version command displays the current installed Python version. But for this user, we have noticed that the command launches the Microsoft store. The Problem is Windows automatically linked the Python command to initiate the installation of Python from the Microsoft Store. If you are facing a similar issue with Python, then this article will guide you to fix Python command open Microsoft Store in Windows 11/10.

Fix Python command open Microsoft store:

This issue occurs due to the Python aliases, when installing Python in Windows 11/10 the Aliases are in the ON position, then during the installation windows automatically adds the Windows apps path in the System Path variable. So when you enter the python command it will open the Microsoft store. Follow the below-mentioned resolution methods to fix this issue.

Solution 1: Check the Python path in Local Path variable:

Open the Run command by pressing Windows + R and type sysdm.cpl and hit enter, this command will open the System Properties Window.

Click on the Advanced tab and Click on Environment Variables.

Under System Variables, click on Path and choose Edit.

Under Edit Environment Variable, Look for the Python path, if you are not able to find the Python path then add the Python path manually .

Note: Add the Python path manually and move the path to the UP in the Local Environment variable.

Solution 2: Disable Python App execution aliases:

Open Windows settings by pressing Windows + I and from the left-hand side choose Apps. And from the right-hand side click on Apps & features.

Under Apps & features, click on More settings, then choose App execution aliases.

Under App execution aliases look for App Installer (python.exe), you can find two or three App Installers, Disable them all.

Mostly this will fix the issue, now reopen the command prompt and type the python command. That’s it.

You can also delete the python.exe from the Windows apps directory, “%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps“, but if you don’t have enough permission you’ll receive an error. So it’s better, just turn off the App Installer and get the issue resolved.

В основном это устранит проблему, теперь снова откройте командную строку и введите команду python. Вот и все.

Вы также можете удалить python.exe из каталога Windows apps, «%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps «, но если у вас недостаточно прав, вы получите ошибку. Поэтому лучше просто отключить App Installer и решить проблему.
